FAQs

1

When and where are sessions held?

All sessions are held online on Zoom.

Sessions are available after 5pm and on weekends.  Please let me know if you prefer to meet during 9pm to 5pm or school hours!  We can arrange something specifically for you.

2

How much do sessions cost and how are payments made?

Classes and coaching sessions are £60 per hour or £90 for 90 minutes.  To promote fairness, all students and coachees have the same fee regardless of age or additional needs.

All payments can be made via direct bank transfer.  I do not store any card details.

3

How frequent are sessions?

This is for us to decide together.  It is common to have coaching sessions or classes every week, however, some people may require one-to-one support twice a week or just twice a month.  We can discuss what is best for you.

We will have as many sessions as you require.  You do not need to commit to any number of sessions - we will work at your pace.

4

How is my teenager kept safe?

Online safety is rightfully a concern for any parent!  I am fully DBS checked, have regular supervision and am regulated by the BACP and EMCC.  Being regulated means I am proactive in undertaking regular continued professional development and stay compliant with up-to-date guidelines.  I am committed to working ethically and safely and keep a close ear out for your teenager's safety in general too (the therapist in me can't help but listen out).

It may appear safer to record sessions in order to monitor interactions between your teenager and I during sessions, however, I do not record your child in any way, audio or video.  This means I do not store any footage of your child.

5

Are classes recorded?

No.  This is to prioritise online safety.

Instead I encourage notes to be taken during classes and keep in close contact via email.

Not only for safety, students are more comfortable when they know they are not being recorded and focus more when they do not have a playback to watch (or rather, not watch later).

6

Do you have experience working with neurodivergence and disabilities?

Yes!  It is important that you and your family receive care that is neuroaffirmative and accommodating to additional needs.

My knowledge and experience of working with people who are neurodivergent and disabled comes from teaching, counselling, coaching and working at ChildLine.

You and your teenager are in good hands.  Please let me know any additional needs or concerns you may have and I will make a plan to accommodate.
